Sony's being a whiny little...

Geohot, the mastermind behind jailbreaking has moved on from jailbreaking iOS devices to jailbreaking the PS3. Apple decided to fight against it, but in the end jailbreaking became legal for iOS devices.
Sony however, took it a step further...they sued Geohotz. He's been ordered to give Sony his harddrive so they can delete the tools to jailbreak PS3's. But they're a little late. Once somethings on the internet...someone, somewhere has it, and they share it.
Sony, again, didn't want to take this lying down. They are now targeting the PSN users, banning them from the network if they're running custom firmware. I honestly feel Sony should just stop; be like Apple, make it a hate/love thing.

Below is an email that someone with a jailbroken PS3 has received from Sony.

" A circumvention device and/or unauthorized or pirated software currently resides on your PlayStation(R)3 system.

Immediately cease use and remove all circumvention devices and delete all unauthorized or pirated software from your PlayStation(R)3 system. Failure to do so will result in termination of your access to PlayStation(R) Network and access to Qriocity(TM) services through your PlayStation(R)3 system."
